Grenade
Pomegranates and Myrrh
The life of just married Kamar turns into emotional turmoil, when her husband Zaid is arrested and she becomes more and more attracted to her dancing master Kais. Apart from this she has to defend her lands against Israeli settlers and is being confronted with the traditions of her own society, into whose role model she does not fit anymore.

POMEGRANATES AND MYRRH is a drama about an entirely unknown aspect of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict, consistently told from a female point of view. The movie was entirely shot in Palestine and received as “work-in-progress“ plenty of awards during the San Sebastian Film Festival 2008 for finishing the postproduction.
